Belarrius Studio builds with a simple rule: useful software should not quietly spy on people, lock them into bloated stacks, or outsource every critical layer to hyperscalers. The goal is to ship lean products that feel direct, durable and understandable.
Baseline
Belarrius Studio Standards
A practical baseline applied to the services, products and experiments built by the studio.
No Email Required
Belarrius Studio services never require an email address for account creation or normal use. Contact by email exists for direct discussion, but products and user accounts are designed without email collection.
French Sovereign Hosting
Infrastructure stays in France, under direct control, and outside the usual hyperscaler default. The studio keeps public infrastructure details intentionally minimal.
Linux and Solar-Assisted Infrastructure
Servers and workstations run on Linux. Part of the web and AI infrastructure is assisted by solar energy and backed by autonomous power continuity, reducing grid dependence without exposing unnecessary hardware specifics.
Strong Password Hashing
When passwords exist, the baseline is Argon2id with a heavy configuration: typically 512 MB of memory cost and 4 iterations. In practice, that means deliberately expensive password hashing, well above the lightweight defaults still seen on many services.
Custom Vanilla Stack
No CMS dependency and no mainstream framework by default. The studio prefers custom PHP, CSS and JavaScript with directly managed CSRF protection, CSP rules and nonces, while still relying on official, battle-tested libraries where using the standard tool is the sensible choice.
Anti-Patterns
What You Will Not Find
The absence of some "standard web" habits is intentional.

- No tracker-based monetization
- No email required at signup
- No newsletter funnels
- No bloated CMS admin stack
- No React/Next reflex by default
- No consent banner just to excuse surveillance
A Different Contract
Because the services avoid non-essential trackers, never build accounts around email collection, and do not run ad-network advertising, the relationship starts from a cleaner baseline: less extraction, fewer dependencies, more trust. When recovery is needed, Belarrius Studio prefers dedicated one-time codes or TOTP instead of recovery-by-email.
